Mother’s Day is this weekend, Dear Readers! Yep. THIS weekend. What to do? What to do? A little extra something of course!
Okay. What sort of “extra something” Mary? A little touch here and there for starters. Have the kids make her a drawing. Then, send them out to harvest violas or violets from the lawn (so long as it’s safe to do so.) Violas and violets are in bloom all over the yard and lawn (either your yard or your neighbor’s) and they are free. Yep. Free for the picking. (Ask permission if they are picked from a neighbor’s yard of course.) Use those colorful little blossoms to decorate a plate (maybe you made her breakfast in bed, hint, hint) or toss them in a salad for a colorful little pop of springy freshness. Mom will really love the thoughtful “extra something” you did to show her you care, trust me.
