To paraphrase a John Denver song, ‘Hey it’s good to be with friends again!’ After four days and three nights exploring South Wales, it sure is lovely to have lovely people to welcome you into their home...
After only one missed exit, we made it to Leighton Buzzard, England where our friends call home. We were greeted with hugs, kisses, hearty food and good drinks. Can you think of anything better, Dear Readers? Pajamas were not optional (at least not for me) and platters of homemade meatballs, boiled potatoes and a cinnamon-scented apple and red cabbage side dish all topped with a rich and oniony gravy was served for dinner alongside wines and beers. For dessert? A Pavlova of mixed berries and silky English custard and whipped cream fit for a queen or king. We spent the remainder of the evening greeting spring flowers dozing, enjoying Faulty Towers and each other’s company. A try bit of alright!
