Another late season storm is heading toward the East. What to do? What to do? Put some "pizzazz" in your food, of course! Honestly, Dear Readers, thank goodness you read my blog!
How should you add some "pizzazz" you ask? "Easy peasy, lemon squeezy", I say. In fact, lets start with lemons. Lemons brighten up most anything they are squeezed over from water to pasta and most things in-between. Here a few ideas: 1. Place one-half a fresh lemon inside a seasoned whole chicken before roasting and squeeze the other half over the top before carving and serving. The chicken will taste fresh and enticing. 2. Grate some lemon zest into your favorite truffle recipe and voila! Lemon truffles! 3. Slice a lemon and add it to your water for a pick-me-up guaranteed to quicken your step and help your digestion. 4. Toss pasta with browned butter and lemon zest and a pinch of red pepper chili flakes before serving. Sprinkle some fresh parsley over the top and look out Julia Child! There's a new cooking maven on the scene and it's YOU, Dear Reader! See? Pizzazz!
