The rain was pelting the windows and the wind was howling through the trees but inside, all was magical. Filled with sounds of family and good conversation and smelling of special treats, we sat in a room with plenty of room for a view. The Swiss Alps rising to the heavens, Swiss-style coffee flavored with herb schnapps on the table and surrounded by long time dear friends, we sat and laughed. Our happy tummies filled with fondue and the Sage Mice snacks our friend made specially for us. Sage Mice are breaded, fried fresh sage leaves, that I have to make come summer. They are named Sage Mice As we sipped wine and nibbled mouse tails, joy and warmth filled our hearts. The generous welcome and true kindness of family and friends made our spirits soar higher than the snow-capped mountains that surrounded the town.
