Every year, my husband, Russell, gives me &20 of yard sale money. This may not sound romantic to you, Dear Readers, but to me, it is. You see, Russel doesn’t just give me yard sale money, he uses creative folding techniques to craft a special Valentine’s Day origami gift. The first year, he folded $1 bills (perfect for yard sales) into a bouquet, with stems and all. I didn’t want to spend it it was so pretty. Over the years I’ve received a box of money chocolates (WAY better than the edible kind) rings, a bracelet, a necklace, a rose and this year, Russ made a lotus flower. His creative folding is the envy of all my friends and I receive the gift that keeps on giving because I can milk $20 buck for ages at yard sales, believe me.
