Voice(s) in my Head

Do you have conversations with yourself? Of course you do! Every other human (if not every) bopping about the planet is having a conversation with themselves right this very second. It's our jam. It's how we roll. We are not capable of functioning without the voice(s) in our collective heads. The voice in my head? Sometimes it's my mother. Sometimes it's my bestie, Claire. Sometimes it's one of my daughters, Alyssa or Mia. Mostly. it's little ole me... As it should be.
Thankfully, it's there to guide me and urge me forward. The voice(s) in my head talk me away from (not off of) the ledge. The voice(s) rev me up or really rev me up, depending. I am like a car that is permanently in 5th gear, always have been. I don't do sick or relax well so I am thrilled to be gaining my strength after the flu. I have been feeling like I was robbed from a grave somewhere and to be honest, looking a bit like that too. What to do? Get out! Even if it is metaphorically speaking. I will get out. Okay, it's winter in Pennsylvania so that means LOTS of bundling and regretting leaving my warm home but out I will go!

Going "out" could just mean changing up my routine. It could mean finally retouching the paint on all the walls. It could mean reorganizing our basement. It could mean reconnecting with friends. It could mean reading something I've been meaning to read. It could mean revamping something like a resume or a recipe or my book. The "what" does not matter here, it's the "doing" that matters. Today, listen to the voice(s) in your head, Dear Reader, and get out. DO something you've been meaning to to do. Rise to the challenge of something new!
