Client and Student Testimonials
Have you ever had a home demonstration party of some kind? I know I have had plenty over the years and they can be a lot of work! You need to get your house presentable, think of goodies you want to serve, shop, cook etc.
Well, there is now a new home demonstration party called Mary's Kitchen. Mary Grube will come into your house and do a COOKING CLASS. The only thing you need to do is have your kitchen ready! Invite at least 20 people (It is nice to have around 15 attend.) Mary will do any type of cooking class that you and your friends are interested in. The cost is very reasonable. Mary walks in with her bins of food, supplies etc. You do NOTHING but watch. She even brings her own pots, pans, bowls, forks, knives, spoons, plates, EVERYTHING right down to a garbage bag!! You only supply the drinks and of course your home. A few days after my party, I ran into some friends. One said as much as she loves cooking she still learned more handy tips. Another friend commented, “I still couldn’t stop thinking of the fun we had attending the Mary's Kitchen home cooking class.” A third friend said, “It was an interesting and tasty presentation tonight. Thanks for inviting me. It was nice to see you and other neighbors. Mary is very knowledgeable!” Book one……you won’t regret it!!! BTW: Don’t eat a large dinner before attending….many foods to sample!!! You can contact her at: maryskitchenmeals@gmail.com. Give Mary's page a "LIKE" to help her spread the word! https://www.facebook.com/maryskitchenmeals/ Jayne K. |
Hats off to Mary Grube - Chef
It is with great appreciation that my husband and I send this email regarding our heart felt appreciation for the outstanding cuisine, cooking education and enjoyable evening spent attending Mary Grube's cooking class, on 6/17/16. Mary's personality is delightful, engaging, so positive. We have followed Mary for the past 2 years, attending different cuisine ventures she has created. We have invited many of our friends to join us for an evening with Mary and they too recognize the gem that Mary is. We will continue to raise our glasses to Mary and your other fine chefs. Gratefully, Marian and Glen B. I have totally enjoyed the 4 cooking classes you presented during the summer. The classes have inspired me to try new dishes and challenged my current skills. Your classes cross abilities, teaching new things to the novice and taking a good cook to the next level. I look forward to more classes in the future. Warren S. I so enjoyed Mary's cooking class! Our gathering was small and intimate. We ended up chopping and dicing (after Mary's excellent instruction on how to properly hold our VERY sharp knives!) all sorts of vegetables to go along with our three chicken dishes we were preparing. Mary was a detailed cooking instructor, and yet was very patient with each of us when we needed a little more time. There was something special about how Mary showed us how to choose and use spices that made our dishes so delicious! We could sample what we made after cooking it, or we could wrap the dishes to take them home. I confess I ate the lemon chicken almost right out of the pan. My family loved the chicken pot pie I made during the class and served the next night for dinner. And there was plenty! It's so much fun cooking with Mary that I'd like to have a small cooking party for my friends in the future. Thanks for a great cooking lesson, Mary! I have my recipes and will be making these dishes very soon...we eat a lot of chicken! Cathy M. Having Mary cater a dinner for a group of our close friends was fantastic. The food and wine parings were perfect for the evening. We will certainly have Mary back for our next big event! Thanks! Chip D. I worked with Mary Grube to do a custom tasting menu with wine pairings for a birthday dinner party for 7 seven people. The party was hosted at my home and Mary worked with me on a fully custom menu which included accommodations for a gluten-free guest. Mary took all of my stress away -- I actually napped while the food was prepared! The food was amazing I was able to truly relax and enjoy the party. I would never have been able to get this variety of food, for this price, with this level of service at a restaurant. I will definitely be using Mary again. Bonnie C. After attending cooking classes as well as a dining experience with Mary at the Easton Indoor Public Market, I asked Mary if she would consider cooking for my milestone 40th birthday. Much to my delight, my friends and husband planned a "surprise dinner" prepared by Mary. I had no idea it would be as exquisite as it was! Mary prepared a 5-course meal with wine pairings and a special birthday cocktail. Mary enhanced each course with something from the local farmers and fresh herbs from her garden. My birthday dinner was catered for seven people and Mary was able to alter the dishes to meet the needs of an individual who could not have gluten. I cannot pick a favorite item from the menu, they were all wonderful. The appetizers were herb-roasted almonds and cold balsamic red potatoes served with a special birthday cocktail which was followed by a salad with crispy salami, a quail egg and Mary's special dressing with fresh pretzel rolls. Two meat courses were next-- apricot chicken and carrots with jasmine rice, beef wellington and green beans. Coconut cupcakes with rose sauce and red wine poached pears served with french-style hot chocolate and champagne ended the meal. The wine pairings she selected for the middle three courses were delicious and complimented each dish wonderfully. The portions were perfect and dining at home was far more enjoyable than dining at a restaurant. The menu was catered to me and no one rushed us to complete our courses or interrupted our conversation. Mary and her husband brought food and drinks seamlessly and eased in and out as we dined. The love and attention Mary put into her cooking and presentation was apparent throughout the night. Mary truly made my 40th birthday a night filled with joy and delectable food, and a meal we are still talking about over a month later. I have been sharing my experience with as many friends as I can. Mary made me feel like a Princess--I ate like a queen and didn't have to lift a finger. I cannot wait for her cookbook to come out so I can get a copy and recreate some of the delicacies she made for me. Allison D. |
