We here in the East are about to be hit with Snowmageddon! That's right, Dear Readers, a winter storm is once again about to batter our already decently bruised coast. We still have snow from the last dusting and icicles are hanging from the both awnings and car bumpers. Stowing the garage bins is an ordeal and I hate to put the dog out. What to do? What to do? Make Curry of course! Dah!
Curry warms and soothes. Curry is quick and easy too. Tonight, inspired by a BBC Food posting on the internet and my recent trip to the grocery store, I made a Cauliflower and Potato Curry that will be served up with plain yogurt and Naan bread. I grated a large piece of ginger into the pot for heat and dumped in enough curry to make Gandhi's eyes water! I lovingly coaxed out only the warmest flavors and added different chilis, allspice and bay leaf just for fun. I gently warmed the Naan so it's sweet and smoky softness could easily cradle the tender bites. Take that Snowmageddon! Share what warming foods you like to make when a winter storm is approaching in the comments section.
