Today my family and I went on an early morning explore to enjoy the unsettled sky scape and occasional sunshine. We walked through trees, past meadows and alongside a local stream on the grounds of the mansion of our town’s first mayor. We listened to birds sing, searched for and found the hummingbird nest and admired the pink and white peonies. The fragrance of honeysuckle and jasmine was everywhere and the breeze blew out hair and lifted our spirits. We knew the weather would be very mild today (compared to yesterday’s oppressive heat and humidity) and that we should go out walk’n. Our dog Lollipop came and had the time of her life running alongside our youngest daughter, Mia, and watching the barn sparrows check into bird houses or wood peckers scale apple trees. Lolly’s view of the world looks like a bit of alright to me.
